Endodontics is the speciality of dentistry dedicated to treating pathologies of the dental pulp.
Its main aim is to remove the pulp, which is located inside the tooth, preserving the tooth structure and avoiding extraction. In addition, this treatment prevents infections that can become serious.
The procedure is carried out in several stages. Firstly, the infected pulp is removed. Next, the root canals present in the roots are carefully disinfected to eliminate all bacteria. After this cleaning, the canals are prepared to receive a resin filling material. Finally, after sealing the canals, the tooth is restored to regain its natural shape and appearance.
